Hi, I’m Greg Schwartz, known more widely online as planetneutral*. I currently serve as the Library Systems Manager for the Louisville Free Public Library. It’s a fancy way of saying that I handle the day-to-day IT operations. Before that, they called me Supervisor of Electronic Resources. And before that, Circulation Support Supervisor. When I first arrived in Louisville, they called me Assistant Branch Manager. That was back in July of 2003.

My primary professional focus (outside of work) is a weekly interactive live internet audio program called Uncontrolled Vocabulary. Picture a roundtable discussion of the latest news and hot topics in librarianship with an ever-changing cast of participants.
