Playing catch-up on the Comment Challenge, we proceed immediately into the day 2 task, which is to comment on a blog I’ve never commented on before. As it turns out, I already completed this task earlier today by joining a conversation regarding strategies for organization over on Julie Strange’s blog.

But wanting to push myself at least a little, I used Technorati to look through some of the posts using the challenge tag ‘comment08′ and ended up at a post discussing Google Notebook on the Langwitches blog. I shared my way of using del.icio.us to accomplish tasks similar to those for which the author is using the Google product. A new conversation is born and perhaps a new connection forged. I’ve already found value in what is really such a simple “challenge.”

Might be playing catch-up again this weekend ’cause tomorrow’s Derby Day and I’ve got horses to see and money to lose.

Hi there, just catching up with a few people doing the comment challenge. Haven’t got anything constructive to say other than “nice to meet you”. Enjoy the challenge. cheers Sarah

Hi Greg – I’m also playing catch up going around and checking how everyone is going. We have added the RSS feed for the comment08 tag to this page on the comment challenge wiki — just letting you know as it may make the task easier for you.

Silvia’s post on Google Notebook was really good and I’ve now installed to check it out.

@Sarah Thanks for stopping by!

@Sue I meant to link to the RSS feed, to which I’d already subscribed. I was just being a lazy blogger. Thanks for providing it!

Hi
One thing I like about this Comment Challenge is that we get to stumble upon other bloggers whom we may never otherwise come into contact with.
Thanks for the post and good luck cheering for the Derby. (We don’t follow the horses much in our house — it’s all basketball and baseball and our Boston Celtics are making us awfully nervous).
Take care
Kevin

Greg,
Thank you for leaving a comment on Langwitches. You are right that comments form new connections. I am also using del.icio.us to keep track of my bookmarks. Actually, I am using it too much and most often cannot find my quotes anymore. My delicious tags are out of control and I seem to find a new tag everytime :( Need to re-organize.

Hi Kevin, thanks for stopping by! We had a great time at Churchill Downs today. Hit the $2 Derby exacta for $140. But hearing about the filly that broke down right after the race kinda took some of the steam out of our sails.

@Silvia – My pleasure! I only use del.icio.us for a few specific categories of things that I’m trying to track, mostly in the areas of podcasting and online identity and reputation management. That’s the only reason mine are still under control.
